LANGHE IN A BOTTLE AND GUARDIANS OF THE HILLS

The exhibition “Langhe in bottles and Guardians of the hills” by Andrea Orlando is divided into two sections: Langhe in the bottle, where silhouettes of bottles enclose and reveal the most characteristic villages of the Langhe, and Guardians of the hills, a series of Langa landscapes animated by characters who love to play, have fun, but above all be witnesses to the beauty of the landscapes in which we live.
Andrea Orlando’s works, one-off pieces created in tempera using brilliant flat backgrounds of colour that recall the charm of Art Deco pochoirs, are the result of his personal and careful linguistic research, which tends to represent hills, vineyards, fires, bunches of grapes, characters, moons, stars, suns: glimpses of the Langhe that are lived, warm.
Biografia
Andrea Orlando was born in Cuneo in 1972. After studying at the Liceo Artistico Ego Bianchi in Cuneo and the Faculty of Architecture in Turin, in 2005 he took over the Galleria Grafica Antica in Dogliani from his parents. Specialising in antique engravings, Japanese xylographs, Art Nouveau and Deco grafica and important contemporary artists, over the years she has taken part in the most important Italian antiques exhibitions such as: Saluzzo, Arezzo, Genoa, Ancona, Venice, Sarzana, Perugia, Todi… Numerous exhibitions have also been organised on the premises.
