Four musical appointments at the precious Vittino organ in La Morra
from 6 to 27 October 2024 Parrocchia San Martino-piazza municipio, 2 12064 La Morra (CN)
For the fifth consecutive year on Sundays in October in La Morra, the organ review “Pomeriggi in musica”, conceived in 2020 by the organist Giacomo Barbero with the support of the parish priests Don Renato Oggero Norchi and Don Massimo Scotto, returns. The aim of this event is to enhance the precious organ built by Fratelli Vittino of Centallo (CN) in 1880 and recently restored by the Brondino Vegezzi-Bossi company. The initiative is also supported by Bosco Assicurazioni and the municipal winery of La Morra.
At the end of each musical moment, lasting about 30 minutes, it will be possible to go up to the grandstand and visit the instrument up close: a unique and fascinating experience!
This year, the festival will open on Sunday 6 October with the young organist Alberto Palmieri from Turin, a student at the Cuneo Conservatory. It will continue on Sunday 13 October with maestro Enrico Barsanti from Lucca, an organist and organ maker who is very active in Italy. On Sunday 20 October, the organist Maurizio Resi, a student at the Conservatory of Piacenza, will perform. The festival will close on Sunday 27 October with the instrumental ensemble formed by Giacomo Zorzetto and Giuseppe Favata (trumpet players) accompanied on the organ by Carla Borretta and Giacomo Barbero.
