The Obertos, those of the ‘Severin’ lineage, who in more recent years have become the ‘Erbaluni’, are rooted in these lands almost as deep as the vines.
Andrea Oberto’s Azienda Vitivinicola Erbaluna is the fourth generation of a family that has been involved in the winegrowing sector of a region that has always had a vocation for viticulture since the beginning of the last century. In the mid-1980s, brothers Andrea and Severino Oberto decided to give a new imprint to the company, choosing to work organically and trying to recover that contact with the land that seemed to have been lost in recent decades. So it is that little by little they bought new vineyards that they converted to organic cultivation and oriented their sales mainly towards northern Europe, already educated in organic knowledge, and then worldwide.
Above the winery, stands the historic Oberto family home. Careful and subtle renovations now make it an agritourism farmhouse where guests can choose to stay in cosy rooms, tastefully furnished also thanks to the recovery of original furniture from the last century.
