Few years ago, the Alessandria Crissante wine maker decided to build a huge red big bench in the middle of their vineyards in a special position.
The idea was to propose an artistic contemporary piece that could exalt the magic of the area. Actually when you sit “up” on the bench you come back to be a children and the position of the bench involves you to appreciate the beautifull landscape, the strenght of the nature and the huge work of the men in this Langhe area.
The giant red bench is located long the main road between La Morra’s village and Santa Maria hamlet on the way to Alba.
In the same way the artist Chris Bangle encourages the building of more than 25 giant benches in all the Langhe and Roero area.
Curiosity: one of the last bench built allows disabled persons to sit on it through a special lift.
