Over a century: four generations of passion, tenacity and hard work. A history of tradition with an eye always turned to the future.
The Marrone family has always been dedicated to agriculture, and in 1957 their grandfather managed to buy a small farm, ‘Cascina Carlot’; in the heart of the Langhe from where the family’s history in the wine business took off.
Today Gian Piero’s three daughters, Denise, Serena and Valentina, flank Gian Piero towards ever more ambitious goals. Valentina is the family oenologist; she follows the path of quality every day, with passion and tenacity. Serena is in charge of administration and foreign markets; she is the beating heart of the entire company organisation. Denise is the face of hospitality in the winery, supported by her mother Giovanna in the kitchen and a dynamic and competent staff. She also looks after the German-speaking markets. Serena’s husband Marco, who has been part of the family for many years, is also in charge of some of the company’s most important foreign markets, such as Holland, Belgium, America and China.
Many activities are on offer, from visits to the winery to cooking classes, viticulture lessons and guided tastings to which both cold and hot dishes can be paired. Events and weddings can also be organised in the winery. For info and bookings click here
